Morgan Kennedy – July 23, 2020.

Morgan Joseph Kennedy, 85, of Seabrook Village in Tinton Falls, a former long time resident of Four Seasons and member of American Legion Post 529 passed away on Thursday, July 23rd.

Morgan and his wife Liz moved to Seabrook Village in Tinton Falls a few years ago. Morgan was an Air Force Veteran serving as a 1st. Lt. Electrical Engineer in the Air Defense Command from October 1956 – October 1959. A good part of his service time was spent at Kirtland AFB in New Mexico in the 4925 Tactical Group, Fighter Branch Operations.

Until Further Notice, The Pools Are Open For Residents Only, Guests Not Permitted

ACCESS TO THE OUTDOOR POOL, AS WELL AS THE REST ROOM AREA, ARE PERMITTED BASED UPON THE COVID-19 PREVENTION AND OPERATIONS PLAN THAT WAS APPROVED BY THE FREEHOLD TWP. DEPT. OF HEALTH.  

KEY POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN PLANNING AN OUTING TO THE POOL: USE OF THE POOL FACILITY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IS AT YOUR OWN RISK, STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK OR EXHIBIT ANY SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19, WERE EXPOSED TO SOMEONE WITH COVID-19 IN THE PAST 14 DAYS, OR TRAVELLED FROM A PLACE REQUIRING YOU TO SELF QUARANTINE FOR 14 DAYS, PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING NOT LESS THAN 6 FEET WITH ANYONE OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD, YOU SHOULD WEAR A MASK WHEN SOCIAL DISTANCING OF 6 FEET CANNOT BE MAINTAINED, EXCEPT WHEN IN THE POOL WHICH INCREASES THE RISK OF DROWNING.

OUTDOOR POOL

1.      HOURS

           

  1. 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM – daily (when pool manager/ambassador is on duty only).

2.      ADMITTANCE AND ACCESS TO OUTDOOR POOL FACILITY

                 

  1. Entry and exit to the outdoor pool facility will only be available via the outersoutheast gate.
  2. If there is a line at the time of entry, observe social distancing of not less than 6 feet apart.
  3. The pool manager/ambassador is required to sign in each resident each time you visit the outdoor pool facility.
  4. Follow the directional arrows and the directions of the pool manager/ambassador pertaining to traffic flow for entering and exiting the pool area.
  1. RESPECTING OTHERS
  1. Consider bringing and using your own hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.
  • Pool furniture cannot be reserved.  Please do not move the pool furniture.   It is positioned to provide optimal social distancing between patrons.
    • Cover lounges & chairs with a large towel to protect from suntan oils, lotions, and/or creams.
    • Please keep large coolers off the tables.

  • Do not use the pool as a place to “rinse off” if you are coming to the pool from the beach.
    • Residents must clean up after themselves and take with them any trash generated during their visit.

a.  Always maintain social distancing of not less than 6 feet apart and consider wearing a mask when not in the pool.   Wearing a mask when in the pool increases the risk of drowning.  

                   b.  Food and beverages (in non-glass containers only) permitted only at the tables.

6.   LIABILITIES

    1. erson suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs shall be prohibited.

7.   MISCELLANEOUS

a.   Rest room and shower facilities will be locked and are only available on a one person at a time basis by asking the Pool Manager/Ambassador for access.   Please use only the designated shower, sink or toilet.    

b.   Footwear is required to gain entry to the rest rooms.

c.   The outermost southeast gate to the outdoor pool facility will be open for pool patron usage from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM only on days that a Pool Manager/Ambassador is on duty.

8.   OVERALL

a.   Rules are for your protection and are necessary to promote safety and courtesy and reduce the risk for infection at the pool facility.

b.   Violators of the rules run the risk of losing their pool privileges.

c.   We are counting on your cooperation with the Pool Manager/Ambassador to provide a safe and secure area of enjoyment for all residents.

  5. The indoor pool facility will not be open when the outdoor pool facility is closed for inclement weather or other reasons.

3. RESPECTING OTHERS

a.   You must wear a mask upon entering the indoor facility and continue to wear a mask when      

       you are not in the pool.

b.   Footwear is required inside the indoor pool facility, except when you are in the water. 

c.   Consider bringing and using your own hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.

d.   Maintain social distancing no less than 6 feet apart at all times during your visit to the indoor

      pool facility, except as permitted among immediate resident family members, caretakers or

      household members.

e.   No person who is wearing a diaper of any kind is allowed in the indoor pool.

  • Shower before entering the pool environment (before entering the water). (NJ State Sanitary Code).

4. LIABILITIES

  1. Residents use the pool facility at their own risk during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  2. The rules of the Board of Health and the State Sanitary Code are always to be followed.
  3. Any person suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs shall be prohibited.

  • Any resident whose actions cause the pool to be drained will be fined all costs.
  • A “No Lifeguard on Duty” sign will be posted.  Residents swim at their own risk. The Board of Health exemption from having lifeguards is based on a policy of swimmers not swimming alone (buddy system with proper social distancing of not less than 6 feet apart).   
  • Pool operations will be discontinued during electrical storms and at the alert generated notification of the potential onset of an electrical storm andthe pool area cleared and remain cleared for up to 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder is heard. The Pool Manager/Ambassador, when on duty, shall advise when to leave the pool facility and when it is safe to resume use of the pool facility.   All pool patrons must leave from the pool facility environs at these times.

Community Facilities – Bocce, Horseshoes, Croquet & Shuffleboard

——————————————————————————————————As announced on the robo call of June 26 and posted on the community website, the above facilities are available for use, subject to the following guidelines:

  • Do not use these facilities if you are exhibiting symptoms of the coronavirus: mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough and difficulty breathing, or other symptoms identified by the CDC.
  • Use of the facilities is for Residents only.
  • The number attendees at any one time must be limited to allow for social distancing.
  • All players (except immediate family members, caretakers, etc.)  are required to be six feet apart from other participants and attendees at all times. 
  • Masks (face coverings) are strongly recommended at all times and must be worn if social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
  • Players are responsible for sanitizing any HOA equipment and touch surfaces before and after use, and wearing gloves for their protection.

Tennis Courts were opened to use by Residents in late May. Specific guidelines for their use were posted on the community website and in the June issue of The Voice.

The Association shall have the right to rescind the use of any Community facility if noncompliance with the above has been observed.

Hulyn Zajac – 7/15/2020


Hulyn Zajak passed away on July 15, 2020. Hulyn is survived by her husband of 52 years Michael. She is also survived by her sisters Barbara and Roberts, and 2 nephews and their families.

Arrangements are being handled by Orender Home for Funerals. All services will be private.

II.             April 1, 2020 Webex Board Meeting

The Board Members approved the preparation of a Resolution to record Board approvals voted on in Webex meetings at the first open meeting held after COVID-19 restrictions are alleviated.  The Board Members also approved

 1)  LMS proposal to trim maple tree at 2534 Morningstar Rd and remove fallen white pine tree and grind stump at 2508 Sparrowbush for $845.00 plus tax;

2) LMS watering proposal for $300 per four hour minimum watering per week of newly-planted replacement trees;

 3) Purchase of Wi-Fi extender to replace the one removed from the card room;

4) Also approved purchase of a lockable device over the Wi-Fi extender;

5) Invoice from Newman Ornamental Ironwork, Inc. for $1,745 (50%) of proposal totaling $3490) to repair front gate;

6) Otis Elevator annual contract for $229.35 per month or $2752.20 annually, effective 4-1-2020 through 3-31-2020;

7) The Board members accepted and approved the Treasurer’s Report given by Ray Kaden.

The Board Members approved and signed a Resolution that any actions taken by the Board during the state of emergency necessitated by the COVID-95 pandemic shall be subject to ratification at the next Open Meeting of the Membership.
