The Singles Club had their final meeting of the season on June 18 with 50 members in attendance, including several new invitees. Instead of our traditional hot dog picnic, we changed it up and served fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and several other side dishes. A brief business meeting was held after we dined. Ollie Kraemer discussed our meeting schedule for the 2018-2019 season and encouraged members to volunteer as officers for the forthcoming season.  Marilyn Dick gave the treasurer’s report.  Outgoing Co-Presidents Ollie Kraemer andDee Kerrigan were presented with bouquets of roses and honored for their service and leadership for the past two years.

Marilyn Dick introduced her grandson, Matt Baker, our entertainer for the evening. Matt studies at the Berkeley school of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Matt played his guitar and sang a variety of classic and familiar songs for a most enjoyable hour. Matt also performs at many local clubs while on summer break from his studies. We were most appreciative to have such a talented young man entertain us in a very warm clubhouse ballroom. Thank you to Marilyn for recommending and enticing Matt to perform for us.

Dee Kerrigan thanked Marilyn Carpini, our host for the evening. Thank you also to all who contributed to the buffet and helped out in any capacity. It was a most enjoyable evening for all and a great way to end our season and welcome summer.  Be sure to join the Singles on the veranda Monday evenings 6:30 PM or thereabout, throughout the summer.

Have a Happy and Healthy Summer!

Montreal & Quebec City

Wonderful five day trip to Montreal and Quebec City.

There were 32 travelers, mostly from Four Seasons, and four couples as guests. We visited many historic sights in both cities and enjoyed French cuisine and wines.

The flowers were spectacular everywhere you looked!!

Rehearsals start on Tuesday, October 4 at 10:30 AM in the ballroom and run every Tuesday through October and November except Election Day, November 8th.

That’s only 8 rehearsals this year instead of the usual 10, so we hope everyone will try to be present.

Dress rehearsal will be Wednesday evening, November 30th at 7:00 PM.

The concert is on Friday, December 2nd at 7:30 PM

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone back and welcome all new members.

There are no tryouts and the ability to read music helps, but is not necessary.

Come join for fun and great camaraderie!
