H&R is an umbrella committee that monitors and coordinates all social and recreational activities of various clubs and groups. The committee also manages the financial accounts of the clubs’ cash transactions related to each group’s event or activity. All four tables in the billiards room have been completely refurbished and they offer a great playing surface to all residents interested in playing or even learning to play some pool.
Our men’s and women’s spring 2016 tournaments had over 20 players enjoying several games of straight pool during May and early June. Congratulations to Sander Kelman the winner of the men’s tournament and Ann Square the winner of the women’s tournament.
We expect to schedule our next tournaments for both the men and women in the fall, tentatively mid or late September start. We will post a notice on the timing of these tournaments.

Also, Guggenheim Museum and Carmine’s trip is scheduled for Monday August 1st.
We board the bus at 7:45 and leave at 8:00 returning to Four Seasons at 4:30.
For home owner computer users who may need an instrument or printer (if the ones at home are on the fritz) a Dell computer running Windows 10 and an Epson Printer/scanner is available for use. They are located in the office room behind the lobby front-desk.
The room is open for use from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Other times can be arranged with Nancy or Chuck. This could be useful to check for e-mails, etc.

December: “Christmas Matters”, a professional a capella quartet, performed holiday songs while stunningly attired in Dickens.
November: A very funny program, presented by Jamie Novak, a nationally recognized humorist and author of Keep This Toss That. She had us laughing out loud about the stuff we keep and want to hold onto.
October: Barbara Park from J Jill showed us nifty ways to accessorize and wear scarfs, using some from her store and some from our own members.
September: Famous Women Chefs put on by our own members with Arlene Byrnes and Ann Alexander interviewing Julia Child (Cynthia Shapiro), Ina Garten (Barbara Sands), Rachael Ray (Carol Oberhauser), Alice Waters (Sheila Wilten) Cristeta Comerford (Kathy Krause) and James Beard (Hank McNally). An informative and enjoyable program. Thanks to our refreshment group, who made recipes from each of the chefs.
